MINNETONKA, Minn. (AP) — An 8-year-old girl is dead after a medical emergency on Lake Minnetonka.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says authorities got a call shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday about a medical emergency on Wayzata Bay.
The caller said a girl was unresponsive.
The girl was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she died. Her name and cause of death were not immediately released.
Hennepin County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Rebecca Gilbuena says the death is not a drowning.
