SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Another Utah family is suing a California produce distributor after an 8-year-old girl was hospitalized with salmonella from contaminated cucumbers.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1McYEXH) that the lawsuit says Rebecca and Christopher Busico's daughter was hospitalized in August with a fever, headaches and bloody diarrhea.
The Tooele girl ate tainted cucumbers her grandmother bought in an unnamed Utah grocery store.
Seattle-based food safety law firm Marler Clark filed the suit against Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce. The company's cucumbers were imported from Mexico and recalled in September.
A Spanish Fork woman and Sandy couple with a 5-year-old son are also suing the distributor.
