PROVO, Utah (AP) — Police say they've jailed a woman who refused to leave a Provo home and kicked an officer as he arrested her.

A Provo police report says officers were called to a home early Friday after the homeowner reported 19-year-old Payslie Lewis of American Fork wouldn't leave.

Police say Lewis became upset when the homeowner asked her to leave and she took the homeowner's cellphone.

The Daily Herald of Provo (http://bit.ly/1Gt0Lof ) reports Lewis then fought with a police officer, kicking him twice and injuring his knees.

Police did not identify the officer.

Lewis was booked into the Utah County Jail on suspicion of burglary, assault and other charges.

Jail records show she was still behind bars Monday though she had not yet been charged.
