LOS ANGELES, Jul 18, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- British author Helen Fielding, the creative force behind the book "Bridget Jones' Diary," gave birth this week in Los Angeles to her second child.
People magazine reported a 6-pound, 3-ounce daughter was born Sunday to the 48-year-old author and her husband, "Simpsons" executive producer Kevin Curran.
"She's gorgeous but yet-to-be-named," a statement from Catherine Olim, a representative for the author, said of the birth, "Mother and daughter are both doing fine and everyone is delighted."
Fielding first burst onto the literary scene in 1996 with the publication of her famed romantic comedy, which was later popularized by a 2001 Renee Zellweger-driven film of the same name.
People magazine said the author and her 49-year-old husband also have a 2-year-old son, Dashiell, together.
