ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) — More is being learned about both the perpetrator and the victims of yesterday's mass shooting in Oregon. The gunman was a 26-year-old armed with six guns and extra ammunition and had seven other weapons in the apartment which he shared with his mother. The nine victims ranged in age from 18 to 67. The wounded included an Army veteran being hailed as a hero for charging the shooter.

CLEVELAND (AP) — A $25,000 reward is being offered in Cleveland to help authorities solve the fatal shooting of a 5-month old girl riding in a car with her mother. The case has prompted tears and anger from Cleveland's police chief, In a span of four weeks, three children have been shot to death. NBA star Lebron James, who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, says the problem is larger than Cleveland and that in his words -- There is no room for guns.

WALHALLA, S.C. (AP) — Four people have been killed in the crash of a small plane into South Carolina's Lake Hartwell. The site is near border with Georgia. First responders found debris on the ground and in the water. The plane had been headed to Clemson, South Carolina.

UNDATED (AP) — Heavy rainfall has disrupted transportation in some communities along the East Coast. Delaware transportation officials closed part of a major coastal road because of flooding. States of emergency are in effect in some states in the Southeast. It's from an intense rainstorm hugging a large portion of the East Coast. Record flooding is feared.

UNDATED (AP) — A major university -- Louisville -- says it has launched an investigation into allegations that former Cardinals staffer Andre McGee paid an escort service to provide sex for recruits. The allegations are in an upcoming book, "Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen." The book also alleges some players' fathers were provided with escorts. Louisville said it learned of the allegations in August and immediately notified the NCAA.
