LAS VEGAS (AP) — A court date has been set Nov. 5 for a 25-year-old Las Vegas man accused of driving drunk and causing a fiery tour bus crash that killed two people and injured him and three others.
Prosecutor Brian Rutledge said Friday that Jonathan Donner's deputy public defender sought time to review evidence in the Sept. 5 crash in downtown Las Vegas.
Rutledge has said tests showed Donner had 2.5 times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood when he crashed.
Tour driver Jose Francisco Cosenza and German tourist Rolf Kloeppel died after police say a BMW with Donner at the wheel sped through a red light, hit the small tour bus and burst into flames.
Kloeppel's wife and a couple from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, were hospitalized with serious injuries.
