VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — Valley City State University says its fall enrollment of 1,422 students has set a school record.
The enrollment surpasses the previous high of 1,384 students in 2011. President Tisa Mason says it reflects the quality of education at the school.
Mason says VCSU is not only attracting more students but also retaining more of them.
The record enrollment follows a record class of graduates in 2015, when VCSU awarded 302 degrees to 255 undergraduates and 47 graduate students.
The university is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.
