BURLEY, Idaho (AP) — A $5 million bond has been set for a registered sex offender charged with first-degree murder in his wife's death.
The Times-News reports (http://goo.gl/tGZdCt ) 34-year-old Ronnie Kincaid Jr. of Burley appeared in Minidoka County Magistrate Court Friday on multiple charges related to Melissia Dawn Kincaid's death on Sunday.
Prosecutors said a high bond was warranted due to the gruesomeness of the crime and because Kincaid previously failed to register as a sex offender. Kincaid's defense attorney, Anthony Valdez, said the amount was too high.
Police found the 34-year-old woman Sunday in the couple's mobile home, after Kincaid called 911. An autopsy showed she bled to death.
Court documents say deputies also found five children in the home ranging in age from 10 to 17.
Kincaid was convicted of third-degree rape in Klamath County, Oregon, in 2001.
