LAS VEGAS (AP) — An Allegiant Air flight bound for Las Vegas from Bismarck, North Dakota, diverted to an airport in southern Utah for what the airline described as a possible maintenance issue.

An Allegiant statement Tuesday says flight 487 with 141 passengers and six crew members aboard landed safely Monday at 7:12 p.m. Mountain time at St. George Regional Airport.

No emergency was declared, and passengers were flown by a different plane the final 120 miles to Las Vegas, where they arrived just after midnight Pacific time.

Luggage was due to be delivered in Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon, and passengers were offered vouchers for future travel.

The interrupted flight follows a series of recent Allegiant incidents, including an aborted takeoff Aug. 17 in Las Vegas of a flight bound for Peoria, Illinois.
