MAGNA, Utah (AP) — Authorities say there are links between the deaths of two Magna people who were found fatally shot just days apart in August.

Unified police say 26-year-old Shelli Marie Brown had died of gunshots when she was found on Aug. 19 at a park a half mile from where 26-year-old Stevan Ryan Chambers was also found fatally shot on Aug. 17.

Police say they are investigating the linked homicides because the two hung out in the same social circle and were associated with the same people.

Neighbors had told police that they heard gunshots about an hour before Chambers was found dead.
