CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Officials say a psychology professor at a Boston college has been arrested on child pornography charges.

Alyssa Azotea of Concord, New Hampshire, turned herself into police last week and was charged with four felony counts of computer pornography prohibited and three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Simmons College confirmed that 37-year-old Azotea is a part-time faculty member at the school.

Police have accused Azotea of having online conversations with a man in Hollis, New Hampshire, referencing sex with young children. They said the two shared images of children they knew.

Azotea, arraigned Monday, said she doesn't come into contact with people under age 18 at Simmons. It wasn't immediately known if she had a lawyer.

The college put Azotea on paid leave pending the outcome of the case.
