NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Las Vegas police are investigating the fatal shooting of an armed suspect after he ran from officers. Authorities say the man was suspected of theft and when police stopped his vehicle, he ran. Police say the man turned toward an officer and pointed a handgun, and the officer fired multiple times.
DENVER (AP) — The FBI is investigating after the pilot of a flight from Las Vegas to Germany made an emergency landing in Denver. A disturbance was reported on the Condor Airlines flight Friday night. Authorities met the plane at the gate but didn't provide any details of what happened. The flight continued on its way after refueling.
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval and more than 60 business, government and education officials are back from a three-week trade mission to Europe. State officials say they'll put a worker exchange program in place as a result of their visit. Experienced workers from German companies will spend a year working in similar Nevada companies, and vice versa.
PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) — A Washington state man faces misdemeanor charges after authorities say he crashed a pickup truck through a locked gate at the former U.S. national nuclear proving ground north of Las Vegas. The Nye County sheriff's office says the 27-year-old had marijuana paraphernalia in the pickup. He's facing trespassing, property destruction and drug paraphernalia charges.
