LAS VEGAS (AP) — A jury in Las Vegas is expected to see DNA evidence and videos of a homeless ex-convict and a firefighter buying items used in the hammer slaying of the firefighter's estranged wife.
Testimony resumes Friday in Clark County District Court in the trial of George Tiaffay (TEE'-uh-fay) in the September 2012 murder of Shauna Tiaffay.
It follows testimony from her admitted killer, Noel Stevens.
Stevens told the jury that George Tiaffay promised him $5,000 and plotted several ways to kill Shauna Tiaffay.
Stevens eventually hid in her apartment and attacked her when she returned home from a night shift serving cocktails at a Las Vegas casino resort.
Tiaffay was at work when his wife was killed, and defense attorney Robert Langford says it's Stevens who's responsible for the crime.
