MCMINNVILLE, Tenn., Jul 15, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- A Tennessee gym teacher convicted of having sex with an underage boy has been sent back to prison for seven years for sending pornography to her victim.
McMinnville, Tenn., Circuit Judge Bart Stanley Friday said Pamela Rogers showed no signs of being rehabilitated, the Nashville Tennessean reported Saturday.
During her parole for sexually assaulting the then 14-year-old, Rogers sent the youth explicit photos and videos of herself, said she was still in love with him and suggested she would wait until he turned 18 to continue their romance, the newspaper said.
"The thing I can't understand is why, when you were released after seven or eight months in jail, you didn't blink an eye," the judge told Rogers Friday. "You continued at that point to violate your probation and contacted this family, send lewd videos and lewd pictures to the same person."
A tearful Rogers said she was sorry for the pain and embarrassment her actions brought.
The judge returned her to Tennessee Prison for Women to serve the remainder of her sentence, which was originally eight years.
