IRVINE, Calif., Jul 14, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Amanda Beard, the California swimmer who won seven Olympic medals, has been dubbed sexiest athlete on the planet in the August issue of For Him Magazine.
Beard has competed three times in the Olympic games, is a double Olympic Gold Medalist, and holds the world record for the 200-meter breaststroke.
Interviewed on CBS' "The Early Show" Thursday, Beard said she loves modeling, but intends to keep training to try to make the U.S. team for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
