DETROIT (AP) — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will graduate 38 youth and young adults from its inaugural Youth Conservation Academy.
A ceremony is scheduled Monday at the recently opened DNR Outdoor Adventure Center in Detroit.
Students learned about law enforcement, forestry, minerals management, fisheries and other career opportunities in natural resources during the six-week academy.
They also earned Michigan hunter education safety certificates and took part in hands-on learning activities at the Outdoor Adventure Center and on Detroit's Belle Isle island park.
