LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 39-year-old Las Vegas woman is facing a felony reckless driving charge in a fatal multi-vehicle crash that was originally blamed on a hit-and-run big-rig truck near McCarran International Airport.
Police Officer Larry Hadfield said Thursday that Angela Bashay posted a $5,000 bond and was being freed from Clark County jail.
Her court appearance date wasn't immediately available.
Police say Bashay was arrested Wednesday after crash investigators determined she was driving a 2011 Honda Pilot more than 80 mph before the Aug. 10 crash killed 39-year-old Christine Robinson of Las Vegas.
The fatal reckless driving charge carries a possible one-to-six year prison sentence.
Police say Bashay and another driver received minor injuries in the five-vehicle wreck on Sunset Road near Paradise road.
The truck and driver were found not to have been involved.
