LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas say they're looking for a truck driver and a big rig after one person was killed and at least one other person was hurt in a multi-vehicle wreck on a busy road near McCarran International Airport.
Officer Laura Meltzer says investigators have several descriptions of the tractor-trailer that plowed into a Nissan vehicle at Sunset and Paradise roads about 8 a.m. Monday, and then drove away.
A woman driving the Nissan was pronounced dead at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center, where another person involved in the crash was hospitalized.
Police said the truck was last seen driving east on Sunset Road. It is believed to have front-end and possible side damage.
Sunset Road east of the Airport Connector remained closed for several hours for the investigation.
