BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The sister of a man killed in the Idaho wilderness after he was suspected of kidnapping a teen girl and killing her mother and brother in California has filed a claim seeking $20 million from the FBI. Lora DiMaggio Robinson's lawyer, C. Keith Greer, says James DiMaggio never got a chance for a fair trial before he was shot by FBI agents two years ago.
SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho judge has affirmed an Idaho agency's one-year suspension of a Cocolalla-based wolf exhibition company. The Bonner County Daily Bee reports that 2nd District Court Judge Jay Gaskill concluded that Wolf People violated a 2012 consent agreement by allowing guests to have direct contact with captive wolves.
LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — A Lewiston man accused of knifing his drinking partner to death will be arraigned next Wednesday on one count of first-degree murder. The Lewiston Tribune reports detectives described a grisly scene at a preliminary hearing for Patrick James Nuxol Wednesday. The 53-year-old Nuxoll is charged in the death of David W. Cramer.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Environmental Protection Agency is expected to release updated air quality standards for the Treasure Valley in the next two months. The Idaho Statesman reports the Treasure Valley includes Boise, and Idaho Department of Environmental Quality regional air quality monitoring coordinator Mike Toole says ground-level ozone pollution in the area typically hits below the current standard of 75 parts per billion.
