LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 25-year-old Nevada prison inmate has been sentenced to three to 10 more years of prison time after pleading guilty to a Las Vegas Strip sex trafficking charge. State Attorney General Adam Laxalt says Mario Lamont Jones II was also ordered yesterday to register as a sex offender for luring a woman into prostitution in March 2014.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Prison officials say they're investigating one confirmed case and two suspected cases of E. coli bacteria at Lovelock Correctional Center in northern Nevada. A state lab and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are testing samples.

ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Firefighters in northeast Nevada stopped a wildfire that charred nearly 3.5 square miles of grassland and sage in less than a day. A BLM official says no structures were damaged before the Boulder fire was contained in the remote Welches Creek area.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Former Nevada Congressman Steven Horsford is helping MGM Resorts International keep its word and hires at least half its workforce for MGM National Harbor in Maryland from the county and contracts with minority-owned businesses. Horsford's R&R Partners was recently named the agency of record to lead branding efforts focused on the region's diversity for the $1.3 billion casino-resort project expected to open next year. R&R Partners is behind the "What Happens Here, Stays Here" ad campaign.
