LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a suspect was shot and killed outside an apartment after shooting an officer in the face. The wounded officer was treated and released from the hospital. Police say this is the sixth officer-involved shooting this year.
BOULDER CITY, Nev. (AP) — A man is dead after he was accidentally run over by a boat on Lake Mohave. Officials at Lake Mead National Recreational Area received a call Saturday afternoon that a visitor had been cut by a boat propeller near Cactus Cove. Witnesses say a boat operator accidentally put the boat in reverse and ran over the victim. It was not known if the boat operator will face any charges.
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Police in Reno have arrested three people in an armed robbery but say two others remain at large. KTVN-TV in Reno reports that police say a group of five people were robbed at gunpoint by five others. Authorities have not released identities or descriptions of the outstanding suspects.
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a small plane had an upside-down landing after leaving the North Las Vegas airport. The FAA says the single-engine airplane had just left when it crashed on a street just east of the airport. The condition of the pilot was not immediately released.
