RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a former employee ran a South Florida middle school principal off the road.
Riviera Beach police report that 37-year-old Jashon Johnson is facing charges of aggravated assault on a school board employee following the attack.
Officers responded Tuesday morning to John F. Kennedy Middle School in Palm Beach County where principal Corey Brooks told them he was almost to work when Johnson tried to run him off the road. Brooks said Johnson's car never struck his vehicle, but he was forced to swerve and ended up on the sidewalk. Brooks said Johnson also yelled threats at him.
When questioned later, Johnson denied trying to hit the principal's car but did say that Brooks had "flipped him the bird."
