CHICAGO (AP) — Authorities are trying to determine what killed a woman and three children whose decomposing bodies were found in a Chicago home.
The Cook County medical examiner's office said Monday that autopsies were inconclusive in determining the cause of death for the four people found Saturday. A spokesman for the office says more tests will be needed.
One victim was identified Monday as 27-year-old Latoya Jackson's. More tests are needed to confirm the children's identities.
The Chicago Fire Department said there was a fire in the home, but it's not clear when it was set. It was contained to the building's interior.
U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives Special Agent Thomas Ahern says several agencies are investigating because of the number of bodies found and evidence of fire.
