HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A U.S. Marine killed in a shooting attack in Tennessee briefly attended the University of Montana and met his wife while he was living in Missoula.

University spokeswoman Peggy Kuhr said Friday David Wyatt attended the school for one semester in 2002. She says school records did not reveal why he left.

Resident Kevin Squires tells the Missoulian (http://bit.ly/1MfMlhY ) that Wyatt met his wife Lorri, a native of Stevensville, while he was living in Missoula. They married in 2004.

Wyatt is one of four Marines shot and killed in Chattanooga by a gunman who fired on two military facilities.

Wyatt was a Boy Scout as a teenager in Arkansas and enlisted in 2004. He and his wife have four children.
