PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia's Temple University is hiking tuition and fees by 2.8 percent, citing mandatory increases in employee salaries and benefits.
In-state students will pay $492 more, or $15,188 for the 2015-2016 school year. Out-of-state students will pay $772 more, or $25,494.
Student fees will increase $100 a year, to $790. Temple says they'll support technology, student programming and recreation services.
The school's board of trustees approved the increases Tuesday. The public university has a $1.34 billion budget.
