CARIBOU COUNTY, Idaho (AP) — A southeastern Idaho man has been found dead after being reported missing at Blackfoot Reservoir over the weekend.
William Wallace of Blackfoot was reported missing around 2:30 p.m. Saturday. His body was found Monday morning.
Caribou County Sheriff Ric Anderson says Wallace was on the reservoir in a jet boat with his wife, granddaughter and her friend.
According to officials, the boat became clogged with moss and Wallace jumped in the water to clean out the propellers. However, storm winds blew the boat away.
Anderson says passengers swam to shore but Wallace never made it.
