PROVO, Utah (AP) — A Utah teenager convicted in a 50-mile crime spree that left one sheriff's deputy dead and another wounded has been sentenced to 30 years to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Prosecutors say 18-year-old Meagan Grunwald was a willing accomplice ready to do anything to stay with her 27-year-old boyfriend. But Grunwald says he forced her to drive at gunpoint.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Salt Lake City pediatrician convicted of killing his cancer researcher ex-wife has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. Prosecutors said 51-year-old John Wall attacked 49-year-old Uta von Schwedler with a knife, gave her anti-anxiety drug Xanax and drowned her in her bathtub in 2011. Defense attorneys countered that it was more likely that von Schwedler killed herself. A jury found him guilty in March.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The spokesman for Utah Gov. Gary Herbert is leaving to work on the governor's re-election campaign and will be replaced by a state representative. Herbert says Jon Cox of Ephriam is resigning the seat he's held in the Utah House since 2013. He'll replace Marty Carpenter.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Two people are dead and two others are hospitalized in critical condition following a wrong-way crash on Interstate 15 in Utah. Utah Highway Patrol says a silver Jeep Cherokee was going north in the southbound lanes of I-15 near Fillmore when it collided with a white Honda car. The man driver and a woman passenger in the back seat of the Honda were pronounced dead at the scene.
