LAS VEGAS (AP) — Troopers say a 29-year-old Las Vegas man died when the Nissan pickup truck he was riding in lost control and rolled over off a dirt road in Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Nevada Highway Patrol said Ever Douglas Mejivar-Valle died Saturday night.
The agency says the man wasn't wearing his seatbelt when he was thrown from the truck's front passenger seat. Authorities say the driver lost control of the truck while it was traveling east on Six Mile Cove Road southeast of Las Vegas. Information about the truck's driver was not available.
The agency says the rollover happened at about 7:10 p.m. on July 4. The man was pronounced dead at 10 p.m.
