ATHENS (AP) — Saying its eurozone creditors are attempting to force his country into "dead-end" austerity programs, Greece's prime minister is urging a "no" vote in Sunday's austerity referendum. There were two large rallies today, by supporters and opponents.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Puerto Rico's governor has signed a bill that allows certain public agencies to buy up to $400 million in tax and revenue anticipation notes. The U.S. territory is in the midst of a financial crisis. The measure is an attempt to improve cash flow. The notes are usually repaid with upcoming tax collections.

BERLIN (AP) — The U.N.'s top human rights body supports calls for accountability in last year's conflict in Gaza. U.N. and Palestinian officials say more than 2,200 Palestinians were killed during the fighting, many of them civilians. On the Israeli side, 73 people were killed, including six civilians. Israel has strongly resisted allegations its troops violated international law.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — An attorney for the San Francisco Sheriff's Department says it had no authority to honor an immigration hold when it released a man who's now suspected in shooting death of a woman at a tourist site. Officials say there was no active warrant for the suspect, who was wanted on a drug charge. He has seven felony convictions and has been deported five times.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) — Golf pro Bubba Watson says he's painting over the Confederate flag on his car made popular in "The Dukes of Hazzard" television series. The two-time Masters champ says he'll replace it with the U.S. flag on the roof of the "General Lee 01." The symbols have generated debate since the killing of a nine people at a black South Carolina church last month. The suspect had posed in photos with the banner.
