LAS VEGAS (AP) — Clark County has issued an air quality advisory due to anticipated smoke from Fourth of July fireworks.
The Las Vegas Sun reports (http://bit.ly/1KxNila ) the advisory will be in effect Saturday and Sunday.
According to the Clark County Department of Air Quality, the small dust particles in smoke and other pollutants can aggravate respiratory diseases and form ground-level ozone.
Ground-level ozone can increase in the afternoon due to strong sunlight, warmer temperatures and pollutants from automobiles and other sources, including fireworks.
