LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a woman who was wounded will face several criminal charges after her alleged accomplice was killed by a resident wielding an AK-47 during a botched home invasion robbery.
Police say Tarnisha Harris remains hospitalized with a serious leg injury after the shooting Tuesday morning in a northeast Las Vegas neighborhood between Interstate 15 and Nellis Air Force Base.
The Clark County coroner hasn't identified the would-be robber who died.
Police say he was pronounced dead after Harris drove them both to North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas.
Harris also uses the name Tiffany Carter, and is variously listed as being 28 or 29 years old.
Police say the resident who shot them told investigators he never saw Harris or the man before.
