LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — A former Lake Charles charter school teacher has been indicted for sex crimes.
The American Press reports (http://bit.ly/1TDIwVW ) 36-year-old Summer Nicole Odom, of Iowa, was charged with four counts of oral sexual battery, three counts of molestation of a juvenile and one count of sexual battery.
The indictment, handed up Thursday, accuses Odom of molesting three boys — ages 13, 14 and 14 — between Jan. 5 and April 18. Odom was arrested in April and is free on $120,000 bond.
Lake Charles police began investigating Odom, then a teacher at Lake Charles Charter Academy, after a student's mother complained Odom had inappropriate contact with her son on multiple occasions.
Police say the woman alleges Odom sent three nude photos of herself through text messages to the boy.
