CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Police and the mayor in Charleston, South Carolina are calling last night's fatal shooting at a historic black church a hate crime. Police have released photos from surveillance video of the suspect, as well as the car he was driving.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Police say the victims of the shooting at Charleston, South Carolina's Emanuel AME Church were six women and three men, including state Sen. Clementa Pinckney, who was the church's pastor. In a statement, Gov. Nikki Haley asked South Carolinians to pray for the victims and their families. She says, "We'll never understand what motivates anyone to enter one of our places of worship and take the life of another."

LUXEMBOURG (AP) — Eurozone finance ministers are meeting today, but optimism over a deal to prevent Greece's bankruptcy is in short supply. Greece's radical left-led government has been locked in discussions with its international creditors since its election in January over what economic reforms and budget cuts it needs to make to get the remaining $8.2 billion available in bailout money.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Consumer prices are showing their biggest increase in more than two years -- rising four-tenths of a point in May. It reflects the biggest one-month jump in gas prices in nearly six years. But core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy, was up a modest 0.1 percent. The Federal Reserve yesterday said it wants to see higher inflation, and more improvement in the job market, before raising interest rates.

HAVANA (AP) — Cuba says it's expanding Internet access by adding Wi-Fi capacity to dozens of state-run Internet centers. The cost to Wi-Fi users also will be cut by more than half. President Barack Obama said in December that the communist government told him it would give its people more Internet access as part of a historic easing of relations between the Cold War enemies.
