POST FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Northern Idaho authorities say they're looking for whoever abandoned a litter of puppies in a park.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office in a statement Wednesday says a citizen alerted authorities after finding the eight puppies in a cardboard box at Corbin Park near Post Falls on Monday evening.
Authorities say the puppies are about 4 weeks old and two young to be weaned from their mother.
The puppies are being treated by a veterinarian for mange and other skin diseases, ringworm, and have been vaccinated.
Authorities say the puppies are mix of male and female, are black and tan and appear to be a mixed breed that includes Rottweiler.
