LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police in Las Vegas are looking for driver and a dark green compact car with a missing front bumper and visible front-end damage after a hit-and-run crash killed a 67-year-old bicyclist overnight.
Broken parts from the four-door 1999 Honda Civic DX were still at the scene following the crash about 11:30 p.m. Thursday on Charleston Boulevard near Mojave Road. That's a few miles east of downtown.
The name of the bicyclist wasn't immediately made public.
Police say he was riding east on Charleston on a specialized mountain bike when he was hit from behind.
At least one witness told police the Honda speed away east toward U.S. 95.
