BOSTON (AP) — Family members of the man who was shot and killed by terror investigators Monday in Boston say they're grateful they will get the opportunity to view surveillance video of the shooting before it's released publicly. The family says it's hired two lawyers to help make sure there's a "complete and transparent investigation" into the death of Usaama Rahim. Police say he was shot after he lunged at officers with a knife as they tried to question him.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Police in the nation's capital are searching for evidence that would link an assistant of a slain corporate executive to the killings of the executive, his wife, their 10-year-old son, and their housekeeper. That's according to court documents. The killings happened in their Washington mansion. The assistant told police he delivered $40,000 in cash to the family's house while they were being held for ransom before they were slain.
AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina newspaper is suing state officials and the city of North Augusta for refusing to release the dashboard camera video of a fatal police shooting. The Aiken Standard asked for the video in April and was denied. The video has been released to attorneys for officer Justin Craven and the dead driver, Ernest Satterwhite.
