DC library has summer reading program for kids and adults

WASHINGTON (AP) — The District of Columbia Public Library is offering prizes for kids and adults who read this summer.

The library has different programs for children, teens and adults. Prizes include free meals at Chipotle and tickets to a Washington Nationals baseball game. There are other prizes too. Kids under the age of 5 can win a free book. Young readers ages 6 to 12 who read at least 28 hours can also be entered in a raffle to have lunch with a famous children's author. Teens ages 13 to 19 have a chance to get entered in a raffle to win headphones. And adults have the chance to win an Amazon Kindle.
