LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police will add the names of slain officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo to the Southern Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial during a Thursday ceremony at Police Memorial Park.

Beck and Soldo were shot and killed last June 8 while eating lunch at a pizza shop.

Their killers, a husband-and-wife couple, also killed a shopper in a nearby Wal-Mart before they died in a shootout with police in the discount store.

Police say the names of Beck and Soldo will be engraved on rocks lining a walkway at the memorial park off Cheyenne Avenue in northwest Las Vegas.

The 7 p.m. ceremony is a multi-agency event remembering 34 southern Nevada law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty since 1905.
