HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a man who was killed when his truck crashed into a suburban Philadelphia high school building.
Police said 32-year-old Filipe Andre Pinto Silva was behind the wheel of the truck that slammed into a building at Lower Moreland High School at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officials said the vehicle went through a wall and ended up in the boiler room. No one at the school was injured.
Superintendent Marykay Feely called it "a tragic accident" and said officials would inform parents and the community later about whether the school would be open Monday.
Police said the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
