BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A former Milton High School football player has pleaded guilty to two charges following allegations of hazing and sexual assault of younger players and will spend 12 days in jail.

Brandon Beliveau pleaded guilty in a plea deal Thursday to misdemeanor simple assault and felony unlawful restraint

Chittenden County State's Attorney T.J. Donovan says the 21-year-old Beliveau is accused of sodomizing one of the victims with a broomstick.

Beliveau apologized to the victim's family in court.

Three other players have pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault and a fourth to disorderly conduct under agreements reached with Donovan's office.
