PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Park City police seized 54 pounds of marijuana hidden in the floor of a van during a traffic stop on Interstate 80. KSL-TV reports that the car was pulled over yesterday morning by an officer police say was specially trained to spot vehicles that might be transporting drugs through the state. Police say the weed was found a hidden compartment in the floor of a rented van from California.

PROVO, Utah (AP) — Jurors are expected to get the case today of a teenager accused of driving her boyfriend during a 50-mile crime spree that left a Utah County deputy dead. The case concluded yesterday after the prosecution closely questioned 18-year-old Meagan Grunwald in Provo. Grunwald says 27-year-old Jose Angel Garcia-Jauregui forced her to take part by threatening her family.

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Five Idaho juveniles have been removed from a Utah treatment facility following a report of sexual misconduct. An Idaho corrections official tells the Idaho Press-Tribune that the misconduct was reported in March at the Copper Hills Youth Center in West Jordan. The five juveniles were transferred to other facilities in Idaho and Utah.

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — The U.S. Ski Team has brought on board Paul Kristofic as the women's head coach after he spent two decades with Alpine Canada. It was a position that was left vacant last season once Alex Hoedlmoser moved over to oversee the men's speed team. Kristofic starts June 1.
