AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — An Auburn football player has been arrested on multiple theft and burglary charges.

Multiple news sources report 21-year-old Elijah Daniel was arrested and taken to Lee County Detention Center Wednesday night.

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones says Daniel was booked for four burglary charges and four theft charges. Of the eight charges, six are felonies.

Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn says Daniel has been suspended indefinitely from the team.

It is unclear of Daniel has a lawyer.
