Carson City firefighters rescue 12-year-old boy

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A 12-year-old Carson City boy was rescued from his burning house on Thursday morning.

The Nevada Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/1Fk8ubb ) that firefighters entered the burning house and found the boy sitting on a bed surrounded by heavy smoke.

The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. and was out by about 1 p.m. Trucks from Douglas County, Truckee and Central Lyon County had to take Carson city calls while the local stations dealt with the fire.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
