SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A 4-year-old girl is dead after she was run over by a tractor in Utah.
Authorities said the girl was riding on the side of a tractor in the driveway of a Uintah County home around 4:20 p.m. Monday.
When a relative who was driving it shifted gears, the tractor lurched forward and the girl lost her balance.
Authorities said she fell off and was run over by the rear tire.
Family members and medical crews attempted CPR but she was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Her identity was not immediately released.
