COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) — It's been a tumultuous week at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay.

The World newspaper reports (http://is.gd/ytiXBF) that principal Doug Holland resigned Monday and his position has been posted on several employment sites.

Also out this week was athletic director Greg Mulkey.

Coos Bay School District superintendent Dawn Granger says she can't discuss Mulkey's situation, other than to say he's on leave.

Mulkey declined comment when contacted by the newspaper, saying he needs to first check with his attorney.

Many students walked out of class in protest Wednesday afternoon. They waved posters and cut-outs of Mulkey and Holland's faces.
