BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho employees at Micron Technology Inc. have selected the Women's and Children's Alliance as their 2015 Charity of Choice.

The company announced Thursday the selection that means the Alliance will receive a $20,000 donation as well as volunteer support for a full year.

Micron Foundation Executive Director Dee Mooney says the selection of the Alliance means Micron workers can help support a great organization that makes a tremendous impact in Idaho.

Women's and Children's Alliance Executive Director Beatrice Black says the organization is pleased to have been selected.

The Boise-based Alliance provides help with transitional housing, counseling and legal advocacy for victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
