AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — Air Force investigators are looking into the death of a cadet who was found injured in his dormitory room at the Air Force Academy.

School officials said Friday the Air Force Office of Special Investigations was conducting an inquiry into the death of 21-year-old Cadet 1st Class Alexandre Quiros, who was found injured Thursday and pronounced dead at the scene later that day.

Academy officials say Quiros was a senior majoring in astronautical engineering. He made the dean's list and commandant's list multiple times.

Authorities haven't revealed the nature of his injuries or the cause of death.
