COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho man who was already serving time for lewd conduct has been sentenced to more time in prison after confessing additional crimes during a parole board hearing.
Gregory Wayne Powell was already serving a 16-year sentence for a 2006 lewd conduct conviction. But officials say while Powell was asking the Idaho State Parole Board to release him early, he disclosed additional molestation victims.
Last week, 1st District Judge Fred Gibler sentenced Powell to up to 20 additional years in prison, but the judge said he will be eligible for parole after serving at least two years.
