TONOPAH, Nev. (AP) — A woman is facing a murder charge after her lover was found fatally stabbed in a central Nevada motel.

Authorities say 49-year-old Maureen R. Kinnamon faces a murder charge after Penny Sue Silas was found stabbed at the National 9 Motel in Tonopah Friday night.

Silas was found on a second-story balcony and died at the hospital a short time later.

A weapon was recovered.

The Nye County sheriff's office said the women were in a romantic relationship and lived together in Tonopah.

Kinnamon reportedly told authorities she didn't intend to hurt Silas.
