COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Student Assistance Corp. is holding a free college planning event for prospective students.
The event at St. Michael's College in Colchester on Saturday includes workshops with expert advice from college admissions and financial aid experts.
Organizers say the topics cover the whole college process, from creating a list of schools that fits student needs and family finances, how to apply, and strategies for taking SATs and ACTs to writing an application essay and understanding college costs and financial aid.
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
VSAC will hold similar programs at Lyndon State College on March 30 and Castleton State College on April 11.
